Mods, please run scans on the forum site. I keep getting redirected to malicious sites when visiting the forum. Anyone else getting this behavior? I know it used to happen in the past too.

Does not happen when browsing other sites. Luckily Norton is blocking most of the threats (that I'm aware of). Thank you.

The issue you describe is likely due to a bad ad that is taking advantage of the ad model. The site itself is not infected.

Although you might be only seeing this issue on Club Lexus, the issue is far and above larger than this site or the site's parent network (Internet Brands). This type of issue has only grown, just as Spam online has grown. Google itself has published articles on this type of issue, which can be found online if you're interested.

In order for the ad team to help locate these issues, it helps if you can provide a screen capture showing the redirect as well as the URL in the address bar.

I'm on a Mac. So far today, I've gotten three warnings:

1. I'm infected with three viruses, click to clean.

2. My subscription to Norton has expired, click to renew.

3. Adobe Acrobat is out of date, click to update.

This is gettin' silly. A BIG waster of time for me.

And, A Trojan Virus. Seems like the bad guys invented something new

When I google the supposed Trojan Horse I get:

Default Virus alerts!!!

Is anyone else getting APPLE VIRUS ALERTS?

Many times a day while reading or posting on Clublexus my screen is replaced with the so-called APPLE VIRUS ALERT and it takes over my viewing and can’t back out. I don’t know who to report this to, so maybe one of the Moderators will see this. It’s been happening for over a two weeks now.

My IPad has ZERO viruses and this is the ONLY site on the internet that gives me these notices.

Thanks

This is the booger I’m referring to.

Apologies for the disruptive ads, everyone. As IB JT mentioned, these unintended redirects are a growing problem around the web. To combat it, we work with a company called Confiant to pre-screen our ad units. In light of the activity over the weekend and this morning, they have implemented additional rules to their filters to minimize the risk of such redirects occurring.

If you continue to experience any redirects, please post screenshots here and we'll alert Confiant ASAP.

Thank you for your help!
