How about we separate 300s in a sub forum from our new 330s ?
Since we all own one or the other vehicle (typically not both) and many thread subjects don't indicate if it is about a 300 or 330, how about we make the 300s a sub forum of this forum and eliminate the "engine, tranny, wheels, handling" sub forums that are not really used. Next year we can add a subforum for the 400s!
I believe this would be much more efficient when we want to read the RX forum threads, in that we don't have to read through a lot of threads that are of no interest if you own the other vehicle. Some of us don't have a lot of time to read through everything that is posted. I feel for the folks on dialup, since I'd spent many years in dial-up jail.

Ed, while I understand your suggestion, I kind of like seeing the other posts for the 330 along with the 300. I look at a lot of them which keeps me interested in the newer model while I am perusing topics for the 300. I don't think I'd take the time to scan the forums for models I do not own otherwise as time is limited.
I suggest leaving it as one forum but ask CL to add a required field for each post that would designate the model in the thread title. That way one could quickly find one's car model's threads. Then maybe after another year or two when our 300's are really old creaking relics split the forums.
I use dial-up, NETZERO and response from CL is quite good here, just a few seconds, I normally don't even jump to another website while waiting it is so fast.
CL keep maintaining those fast servers.
How's your '99 doing?

I agree with ederny - I just traded my '01 RX300 for my RX330 & I find myself not reading any of the RX300 threads. I believe the 2 models are significantly different & should be in a separate category - however, I am not the admin here & am not sure how much work it is to create the new category.
I do think it would be easier for all the RX 330 owners though.

parula, (it's Bob, it that right?). I sort of like your suggestion of a field or caatagory selection as another way to handle this. Either your suggestion or mine would be acceptable. I would like to see the current subcategories deleted as they don't get used effectively though. Many thanks for your input. Ed.
PS The 99 is doing fine and I hope to add a few additional notes to my RX 300 HOW-2 site.

The RX 330 is an evolutionary model to the RX 300. The SC 430 got it's seperate forum b/c it TOTALLY attracted different people than SC 300/400 owners and quite frankly, they share the same name but the 2 cars are TOTALLY different.
A sub-forum may eventually come but it's not that busy in here.

For totally selfish reasons I don't think this would be a good idea. I have owned my 2000 RX for about 6 months and have gotten a lot of information from CL. I think that the majority of 330 owners are ex-300 owners. These members have a lot of inside knowledge about the quirks and workings of the 300. I worry that if these individuals are going to another forum that I will not get as quick of a response to questions pertaining to the 300.

Oh yes, the site - I recently moved it to another server with a link from the old one. Now that the summer is over, I will have a bit more time to add a few new items (do some webmastering). I'm still working on the fast idle problem that plagues some RX 300s in the winter.
Here is the link to the HOW-2 site. Thanks for asking....
