The Crown and the Century are not really the same thing, I appreciate what the Century is but they're ugly IMO.

Its interesting, I was talking to a guy on MB World who had like 7 LS's and switched to the S Class in 2012 I think it was. He's on his 4th one now, he had a W221 and hes had three W222s. I PMed him and asked him if he missed anything about Lexus, and his response was the customer service at the dealer, but the S Class is superior to the LS in every way, so he doesn't miss the LS. He also said though, that if Lexus came out with a car that truly was a peer to the S Class though he too would definitely be open to going back.

I'll say that, compared to the VW forums I've been looking at since getting my GTI, CL is on another level of maturity and respect. Over there on those forums (VWVortrex and GolfMk7, namely), I see lots of rudeness and unhelpfulness.
Of course, on CL, there are isolated incidents here and there, but certainly not many at all here in Car Chat. In the IS forums, we occasionally get someone who is a German car snob or just having a bad day and taking it out on the forum, but generally, people are helpful and welcoming.

Okay about the grammar etc this is really pushing it.
I am a writer with published online automotive content; I majored in English in college. I’m worthless, beyond worthless in math etc but I can type up an A+ paper on basically anything in 5 minutes.
I messed up my back and don’t use my laptop
anymore for these forums and I’ve noticed that the mobile phone app or whatever posts mistakes even when you don’t make them when typing. I don’t lose sleep over it.
Even if I didn’t own a Lexus I would never leave
these forums.

And about us being disappointed that there is no LS anymore that truly competes with the best....
That's not really opinion, it's a sad fact. And we treat it as such.
I would be going crazy with enthusiasm if the LS were a world-beater again. And be looking to buy one in a couple of years probably.

Being critical of Lexus's horrible decisions or the past 4 or 5 years and mediocre lineup is not hijacking a site, the last thing we should do as Lexus enthusiasts is act like everything they are doing is okay when it is clearly not.
