Default How to turn off text msg notification of new posts

Just received my first phone text message notification of a new post on a thread I commented on.
Is this a "new feature" and how do I turn it off?
I don't see anything about texts in Edit Options.

We don't send phone text message and we wouldn't be able to without you supplying your phone number.

There is push notifications, which isn't new, and done via the browser. Your account shows they are disabled. They are controlled via the UserCP, as almost all account-based options are:

The only other notifications are email-based notifications, which isn't new either, and is also controlled via the UserCP.

Thanks for your reply, I misunderstood how things work.
After talking with tech support (my kids) I found out I was receiving a "Notification" on my Android phone of a new post in a Lexus forum.
The new post sent an email to my google.com account so google sent my phone a notification.
I recently got a newer phone and the notifications must have been disabled on the old phone.
