Hey all,
Just became the proud owner of a 2000 GS 300. I live in Raleigh and I am looking for a good place to take the car to for the 52,500 mile scheduled maintenance. Does everyone go to Johnson Lexus? Any recommendations on who to talk to? Any idea about how much I would expect to pay for 52,500 mile service?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Chris

Welcome to CL! Congrats on your new GS.
I'm in Charlotte, but have a couple of friends that have used Johnson and like them. I'll see if I can find out if there is a preferred service advisor they use.

Thanks DaveGS4....I'd appreciate any help you can give.
My parents live in Charlotte and they have GS 300 and ES 300, where do you take your car for service?

Hendrick Lexus primarily. Have some other shops I use for specialty stuff every now and then, just ask when you need something!
Hope you can make it to one of our NC meets sometime.

Hi, Chris! I'm in Chapel Hill. We should meet up sometime. I've only been to Johnson a couple of times so far since my car is new as well...I'd give them about a 7 out of 10 so far, mainly because I got a bit of a run around on a bad scratch on my trunklid that I didn't notice on delivery. They took care of it under warranty, but not before nearly screwing up my trunklid with some in-house paint guy. I had hairs and bristles and all kinds of junk under the clearcoat. The finally sent it to a true body shop, and it's 99% of how it should be now. All's well that ends well I guess. But other than that they've been great.

I made an appointment for a 52500 mi scheduled maintenance with Johnson Lexus. They quoted me $149 for the job which they said included oil change, tire rotation, and car inspection. I was used to paying about $75 at the honda dealship for the same type of work on my Prelude.
Does this sound right to everyone?
Thanks,
Chris
