Default 2004 Lexus Dragon Meet (any word???)

Just wanna know if there are any arrangement made as of yet since we're 4 months away from August.

I've been getting my car ready for this trip, last year I rode up with Freelance...this year I'm taking my IS. I've lowered it got some sways, and I'm looking to do a few more things. I just need to plan ahead as I'm sure you other guys will understand as well. Lemme know any info. as it becomes available.

Thanks and see you all there!!! (whenever that is)

Good to hear...I'll need to know ASAP so I can put in for the time off. At my job due to the nature of it, they only allow one male and one female to take leave per work day, so time is of the most importance for me.

Thanks!

Ok Dave,

Let's go ahead and kick this off!

I say we shoot for August 20, 21 and 22. We could go ahead and make it a tradition to do it every third weekend in August. That's a month before NOPI.

What do you think?

Also, if you guys need some help updating or moderating lexusdragon.com let me know, I can help get it up to date.

I'm good with those dates, sending inquiries out to Jeff, Clif, Scott, Krista to confirm.

Took a look at the calendar on tail of the dragon, no one has claimed it yet for that weekend.

Good to hear guys!

As soon as there are set dates Freelance and I can start hypin' it up over on .net. I'll ask jedi to hook up a banner or the like.

One comment I got back from Dex (Scott) was that August is still pretty hot and he suggested early October.

I guess my only issue with that is that we get into some significant traffic with the leaves changing the later we get in the year.

Agreed. I thought it got warm last year but I didn't have any real issues with it, no one else seemed to either. You are right, we do not want to get into the leaf watching crowd. September might be passable for the first two weeks but after that, especially in October it will be bad.

If he wants to go back in October then more power to him...

What's with the attitude Chris? I didn't have any issues with the heat, and I'm not suggesting we go with leaf watchers. What the hell? I can't suggest another date?

I had a blast last year. God willing, count me in again this year.

Mid-September sounds like a good "happy medium" between the summer heat and the leaf-peeper traffic. I'm cool with any date, though. The heat wasn't an issue for me.

Besides the trio of us South FL folks that joined you last year, a few people I AutoX with have also expressed an interest in joining us this year.

The Dragon is right in the middle of the Great Smoky Mountains, beautiful forest views when the leaves change in the fall. "leaf watcher"s are the thousands of folks who drive to the mountains to look at them during the peak fall season.
