I was thinking white on black as well for the banner. I will more than likely engineer some sort of frame to hold after I get it from the graphics shop. I haven't start looking for the folding awning to rent yet. I'm quite sure there are plenty of places around to rent them.

Sorry I wasnt able to make the meet. I had a throat infection and ruptured my eardrum, anyway...It sounds like you guys had a good time and it was a success. I will still be attending NOPI on Sat. but not showing my car. As far as the banner goes, i would recommend some sort of collapsable contraption, because 8 ft. poles sticking out the back of a lexus could cause some problems. Im in college and we rent little 10x8 tents for track meets from funeral homes. Thats the cheapest place, but the tent will say the funeral home name on it, so maybe a sign to cover that up could be made? Just some ideas

That's exactly what I had in mind LexRx. Is there a way to remove the line going through the bottom portion of the circle? Sorta stopping the line before it connects with the circle with a beveled edge matching the contour.
BTW, I think I need to get a book on this PhotoShop 6 and ImageReady I have.

Here is a CL logo with the beveled edge around the Lexus "L". The other two are just other ideas. (Left) the underline blends right into the logo and (right) the underline is just closer to the logo.

I like it LexRx. What do the rest of you think of the image? White on black works for me. I wanted to display it on a couple of 4 foot poles.
Will a 3'x6' banner suffice, or something larger?

Well, I've received some input from one of our biggest supporters, aka wifey. "Shouldn't the banner match the sticker on the car and the logo on the website?"
I'm starting to come around to her point of view on this. Should the underlining be deleted from LexRx's lastest incarnation? Whatdaya think? HELP!?!?!?!?

I think it looks better with the line. The banner still looks liike the logo, just an underline. Maybe you could call it the southeast version, we have to upstage cali. on all levels, might as well modify the logo too. Just my opinion

A 3x6 banner may be to square. Here is a banner measuring roughly 1.5"x6". Not in feet, but gives an idea of size. I went without the underline in this one just to give others an idea.

I agree that an aspect ratio of 1:2 would be a bit overly square. Your 1.5x6 comes out to be 1:4 or 3x12. Maybe 1:3 or 3x9 would be better since I'm still thinking the larger it gets, the more difficult it may be to display. Our assigned area will probably be on a paved surface.
BTW LexRX, which graphics program are you using?

Get this, Mrs. Jazziz likes the latest and greatest the best after showing her the logo at the top of each CL webpage.
One day, I'm gonna get an opinion of my own.
