thanks for the heads up .. i am getting to the point of just getting rid of the ride from fear of things like this .. i mean we set our cars up a certain way and we try to be responsible at least i do ..at this point it seems safer for me to drive a truck and mod it just for looksthen to run the streets from time to time and risk seizure or jail or both

Wow what a donation. 18 cars at $~30k a piece less police equipment = $~600,000. Wow and all I need is $6k for mods so I can hang with them. heheheh Donater must have been victim of an aggressive driver or just like the police

Hey Ed, these have been around for a while and they aren't as stealth as one might think. There aren't too many modded Marauders running around town, so when you see one that doesn't look completely stock, that's when to beware. I've seen them a few times over the last year and the black ones with window tint are dead giveaways. One tried to entice me one time and I wouldn't bite, I think he was pissed. Even if they don't have anything noticable from the looks of them, remember, there aren't a ton of Marauders out on the road, so it's best to err towards caution and assume they are a cop until you can prove otherwise.
And 18 in a state as large as ours isn't really too many. They can only be in so many places at one time.

I don't see this as a huge threat at all. At least not in Miami-Dade county.
First, they have more unmarked cars than marked ones as far as I can tell. Second, I drive like a jackass (tho safely) a lot more than I should (40 miles a day) and have yet to get snagged for aggressive driving. Like Whitetiger said, these are easy to spot. And choosing Marauders was a horrible idea. No one buys those things and I see one maybe once a month. So it's almost gauranteed that when you see one, it's a cop.
Not that it matters, I am leery of ANY generic looking Ford product. Our cops are in just about anything from F-150's, Crown Vics, Tauruses, Explorers, Mustangs and even Expeditions.
I'm more worried about the tint and the deck lights that you can plainly see sillhouetted on the rear deck. Most of them even have the nylon wrist cuffs on the rear view mirror, they are all dead giveaways. And if they are police interceptors, forget it. They might as well paint POPO in yellow on the side of the car.
Either way if I get caught, I get caught. They are only doing their job and you can't take it personal. It was just your time to get snagged. My last ticket I was clocked by an airplane at 2000 feet. He radioed to a trooper in a line of 7 troopers 2 miles ahead and one pulled me. The trooper explained how they got me (because I KNOW the trooper didn't see me speeding, it was the plane 2 miles back). I admitted I was hauling *** (86mph) and that they got me fair and square. We joked around and he even let me hear the pilot clocking the next guy over the radio in his car as I watched the next trooper snag him. It was a sneaky speed trap but hey, we're speeding right? I don't feel violated. I won't complain. I was breaking the law and they got me, that's it.
Just take it to court and do what you can. Cops are generally nice guys unless you're being a total **** to them. Then they make your life suck. Don't take it personal, they are only working their jobs like you and me.

I agree with the passport. I have one and (KNOCK KNOCK) I have yet to get a ticket. The thing is, is out of all of the vehicles that they could have picked to be UNDERCOVER cars. Why did they pick a car that basicly is a Crown Victoria. Who knows, maybe one day they will get smart and pick a lexus... Who Knows !!!

I'd be careful what you say about Cop car lexus. My buddy works for Hillsborough County Sheriffs office and he says that that they have a GS 300, and a couple of the Lexus SUV's for undercover missions and for whatever elce they want them for. So be careful. They also have a hummer, other varieties of SUV's, and other impound vehicles.

Yes in NYC it is not too hush shush that the NYPD uses all brands of utility trucks, delivery trucks, and even school buses undercover. You could be speeding innocently enough only to be pulled over by a taxicab in downtown Manhattan. Of course the passenger is also an officer ready to ticket you. BTW why is this a threat? If you don't do anything wrong the HP has no reason to pull you over, atleast you're not profiled for having a two seater widebody with a wing on it.
