Atlanta Lexus service?
I just bought a 1999 LS400.
Any good recommendations I should take my 1999 LS400 to for service?
I'm in the northwest area, inside the perimeter, close to the Smyrna Lexus dealer.

I have had a 1991 LS400 and 1999 GS400...
I have used an independent shop called Ozzi's in Roswell for several years. www.ozzis.com, his name is John Minozzi, he is a Lexus master tech, he only uses OEM Toyota parts, and he has always given me excellent service at significantly less than the dealers charge. He is located off Holcomb Bridge road, phone number is (770) 552-5280
I also used Hennessey Lexus in Gwinnett on several occasions, VVTi on the forum (Nuum) works there and is regarded as one of the best Lexus technicians in the U.S. Joe Gaunt is the service manager there and is a very nice guy and a big supporter of Club Lexus and Seloc.
Nalley Lexus, I would not recommend.
Hope that Helps,
Rich

Others may disagree... but I choose Hennessy Lexus of Gwinnett. Why - One of our very own OG members VVT-i (Numm) is a Certified Master Service Specialist and I don't trust anyone else to service my car outside of oil changes and tire rotation.
BTW, welcome to CL. If you don't already know, the ATL has a very active subchapter called SELOC.

A couple of reasons I would not recommend Nalley;
1. They have been snotty to me when I walked in to go to the parts desk to pick up some parts for my previous car, a 1991 Lexus. I was wearing "work on the car" clothes, not khakis and a polo, but I have never been ignored at another Lexus dealer, so that was a memorable experience.
2. The independent technician I recomended, John Minozzi, used to work at Nalley and had some disturbing stories about the service department. He hasn't worked there for several years, and all of those people may be gone now, so I take that with a grain of salt.
But I have always been treated like a king at Hennessey or Ozzi's (and so have the people I have sent to both of those places), no matter what I am wearing or driving, so I stick with them.
I hope you have had good experiences at Nalley, and I do go there from time to time, as they are the closest dealer to me. My wife and I test drove a LS430 at Nalley a couple of weeks ago and were treated pretty well, but I just would prefer to have my car serviced at the other two places I recommended.
