After a look at the map it's about a 1 - 1.25 hour drive from those cabins to the dragon. Not exactly close. We need to consider things like fatigue, and gas cost into the picture. It looks like 3-4 gallons for most of us each day, round trip, just to get to the dragon, and I have got to tell you ...... I've been 4 times and every time that road wipes me out mentaly and phisicaly. I wouldn't like a hours drive back to lodging for the night.

Ok, I know you said something about Memorial Day weekend, I just can't find it and I forgot what you said, lol. Anyway the Subaru guys have a trip planned for that weekend, 24th-28th. Its on NASIOC.com, so that weekend wouldn't work.

I believe the Subie guys were up there last year when we were up there and they offered to invite us to there late night bond fire. But most of us were dead tired. I remember Khanh asking them what they had to drink and one of the guys was like....Um.. MOONSHINE!!! I was like.. Woah.... Of course, Khanh still thought it was cool..

Hello everyone,
I am new to the Lexus scene and don't even have a lexus yet, but I am from Asheville and have a couple ideas that you might be interested in. If you guys are set on staying at the dragon this might not interest you, but I have been working at a large B&B with family friends for years and I think it would be a perfect spot to host a car meet. The place is called The Chalet Club and its located in Lake Lure, NC and we have facilities up in the mountains and also on the lake that offer all sorts of water and land fun. Lake Lure is located about 2.5hrs from the Dragon and 45min to Asheville. The would allow for a full day of Dragon action and then everyone can head back to Asheville for some famous Barley's Pizza or something like that. Another good thing about lake lure is that there are "entertaining" roads in every direction. If you guys wanted to add some new asphalt to the route this would be a prime place. How many people are you guys expecting? Our maximum capacity is 43 with both access to cabins or rooms in the main lodge. We could possibly work out a long weekend package or something where we spend one day on the lake and the other two out driving if there was enough interest? I also know of some prime picture taking spots along the Blue Ridge Parkway that could be fun. I know this trip probably has an established formula but I just thought I'd throw the idea out there. I'll hopefully be in the Lexus family soon (waiting for my truck to sell) and I can't wait to meet everyone! If this doesn't work for this run I could possibly put something together for a FallColors meet or something where I could probably get much better prices when the weather is a little cooler (cars love cool weather!). Anyway, just some food for thought. The Asheville area is an awesome place to visit!

--Austin

**On a side note, I hope I can make this meet, I have a good mix of photo/video equipment that I need to use more so this would be a prime time to get some good footage/pictures of everyone's rides...

Lets get a date set! We need to start booking the microtel considering the event could be only 2 months away.

We need a confirmation list.
IS the official lexusdragon.com site going to be updated or are we not going to use it?

Planning to, but still trying to work dates out with some potential conflicts. Mike, you asked for the track dates we already had scheduled, finally got them from Krista:

May 4/5/6 PCA Event at Roebling Road
May 19/20 PCA Event at Carolina Motorsports Park
