Probably so, she really wants to do both these events and as the official team sponsor I need to be there.

I'll take the LS430 and hang out in it, lol <- official photographer and pit crew Krista has had a track car for the last couple of years an E30 BMW 325I, stripped, caged, seats, track tires, etc instead of her 911... something she can leave in a wall at the track and not feel too bad about it. They're Porsche sponsored driving events. She does the solo groups, basically just wide open track time in her class.

Thats awsome! She hasnt talked you into getting out there yet?

Ive got to have ample time to schedule off work like some others im sure. May 19th the tentative schedule is coming up on us fast! Is that the official date. Do we need a poll thread to decide on that. I already know that date doesnt work for dave. But im sorry dave i would love to go when the ferraris will be there. Hearing those puppies climb the dragon and speeding by would be a great time.

Yeah no worries, I'm fine with picking the best date for everybody... knowing whatever date won't work for somebody in the group (myself included).

1sicklex is working on that date right now.

Biltmore Estate is 2 hours east of Robbinsville.

Okay I spoke to Sue at the Microtel this morning.
Weekends of 18-19th and 25-26th are pretty much all booked. She said not sure what but something must be going on.
The Weekend of June 1, 2nd is open.

So if we stay at the MicroTel, is June 1, 2nd an okay date???

I am searching other options now for lodging, going to prioritize this before we lose anymore dates.

I am also in talks with this lodge
http://www.fontanavillage.com/

Can everyone check it out? It costs more, its 20 miles from 129 (but on a challenging road, Hwy 28).

There are many lodging options, including houseboats, cabins and poolside cabanas.

Hows the parking situation for just the lodge.

I think some of us would just want to stay at the lodge and some of us might want cabins. But i would be down for sure. That place looks like fun. Much more fun for the significant others as well that wouldnt want to go on the dragon for the second time.

Plus the lodge rooms are only $99 a night. Thats cheeaaapp.

As long as parking is okay i say go for it.

Fontana villiage is booked through May. They said mid June would be good for us. Microtel is booked the last 2 weekends in May.

So it looks like we move our meet this year back to early/mid June?

I will look at some more places tonight and try to pin things down tomorrow as time is of the essence at this point.

What about staying somewhere closer to asheville? Thats what the Ferrari guys do... Belle Chere is July 27, 28 and 29. Its the biggest festival in Asheville. They close down most of downtown and have multiple stages with live music, an autox, great food, all kinds of local arts and crafts, etc etc etc....
