How bout...
Charlotte, Concord, or Rock Hill?
Reasons...Charlotte is a large area. Plenty places to meet. Concord has the Speedway and Zmax. Rock Hill also has a dragstrip.

Mike, I say we should meet in charlotte or Lake Norman. There's plenty of space for us to setup a meet there in the parking lot and lots of good places to eat. Lake Norman has alot of neat places around the lake for pictures and resturant to eat. Another idea is to have a meet up around ashville especially during this time when all the leaves are turning color and falling plus you have the Biltmore Estate. It's really nice up there.

Even though Myrtle Beach is an awesome area for a meet Ithink it maybe a little too far for those of us who are inland. I know for me its 4hrs or so. I think the Charlotte area maybe a great idea as well, since there would be more to do, but not sure how far it would be for out GA neighbors. Im defintely down with the NC ideas, because I know for sure Greenville is boring if people want to other things besides meet.LOL and it would be awesome to meet up with some GA members and caravan up to NC!!

If we do Charlotte we historically have done the big VW meet in Feb (I think it got moved to May last year). Not sure I can convince many ATL or lower/AL people to go to Charlotte.
This was to be a meet where Charlotte and surrounding areas meets Atlanta and surrounding areas.
Good idea about a quick meet with the leaves changing.

I like the idea of the inner meet anywhere from Charlotte to ATL I'm down. It just has to have a good date. I have a Tuners for Tots event in Char on the 6th, A Z meet in Greenville, SC on the 7th, Our first MOD Drift event on the 13th, and then the Supra meet on the 27th. If you had the Meet on the 7th and it was in Greenville, SC then I could probably make that one too and just have the wife drive the Lex. I have been waiting since I join this forum, to have a meet. So let's do it. I like to stay busy.

Just a thought for next year -
The Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance & Motoring Festival. October 29-November 1, 2009
The Saturday they call Car Club Jamboree - and they invite car clubs from all over the Southeast to participate. A destination and a date - do-able?
