Bummer - tried getting in the Hampton through Harrah's but they said no more rooms. I'll try calling them directly. None of the other places sounded appealing, plus I don't know where the heck they are relative to the Hampton Inn... I'll work something out.

Well guys I called Hampton and the rate booking direct is $139. I guess I could pay it but I asked the guy if there was anything special going on that weekend and he said a Harley Davidson Rally!!!! Might this not put a damper on driving around Deal's Gap with thousands of Harley's around?

Did a little research on the Harley deal. Their event is in the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds and they plan to ride in the Great Smokie Mountain park (which is also nearby). Of course they are going to have entertainment (below) so who knows, maybe we could join them 
.
I think we'll be going in different directions.

Hey guys - I think this big thread is confusing for a lot of folks since the meat of the meet info is right in the middle.

This is going to rock.
Another reminder guys: bring plenty of digi,video, and regular cameras.
And SICK, I like th idea of enthusiastic ClubLexus groupies; maybe I can drag one out as well. Ooops; already made the reservation for "1 king bed"
Oh, and the camera equipment is for the cars......
You should have seen the looks Dave and I got in Asheville when we carried in his tripod, ladder, and the rest of our camera stuff. :eek:
