i kinda dont mind though. i never was a fan of that venue... the meet was too big for it and there were alot of politics surrounding it. hopefully people will comply and "behave" while leaving if there is going to be a large police presence at the new venue.

i suggest gwinnett arena.. plenty of parking... plenty of trees to shade people from the death sun and its close to home. i was actually planning on putting a proposal together to see if there is any feasibility in getting the county to support the automotive scene of atlanta.

Well, I just got back from vacation to see this turn of events!!! I am soooo pissed that a few idiots always ruin it for the rest of us.

haahh that must have been sonny and kevin.. think they went to some show down in decatur yesterday. i will let them know and thanks!!
and for the idea of using hennessy lexus in gwinnett as a meet spot is probably not the best of ideas. they barely even have any parking for their customers. i am up there a few times a week and trust me when i say this, there is no space for a meet.
but then again, based on some of the meets from CL, it may be possible. lol

Guys, I don't think this is going to happen...maybe we should have our own meet and maybe go for a nice drive up to the mountains...

With success comes complications. Seem like I heard this some time ago. It applies to car gatherings as well. When you need a venue for 80 or 100 cars it pretty easy to find something. For 1000…
After talking with folks from the city of Alpharetta I’ve decided to try to do this right. C&O can now be called an event, and as such I need to go through channels in order to locate a spot that we can hopefully call home for more than a few months.
Now that we have quite a few generous sponsors I can pursue making the event official. To do so will require money (what doesn’t?) as insurance for the gathering will be required. Also I’ll be hiring at least one more off duty officer. Clean up will be another item.
Take the time to check out the sponsor page. They are why this event will continue. Unfortunately I don’t think this will occur in time for the July event. Lots of key people are going out of town next week including myself (work, not vacation). From what I’ve heard it would have been a smaller group anyway due to the holiday weekend.
I’d like to say thank you for all your emails of support, and suggestions of new venues. It’s always a pleasure to read how much folks enjoy the show.
Keep checking the site for news after the holiday, and have a safe and happy 4th of July.

Haven't heard anything as well, so looks like this is a no go. I will be looking to arrange something this summer for Lexus enthusiasts as well as our other car enthusiast friends. So the July 3rd C & O meet and lunch at Tilted Kilt is cancelled.
