Default Visiting Atlanta-Recommendations?

I will be heading to Atlanta next month with two friends for a breast cancer walk. We'll be staying mostly in the downtown area and unfortunately have limited time before and after the event. To maximize the experience, I would appreciate suggestions about fun things to do and great restaurants in and around the area. It'll be the first time visiting Atlanta for all of us.

TIA

Around downtown, the Aquarium is spectacular, world of coke, CNN center tour. Will you have a car?

I appreciate the suggestions. Yes, I will have a rental car for five days. But three days will be taken up by the walk. I will be following my friend along the route. We'll have a day before and after to take in the sights.

Any price range for restaurants? On higher end I'd recommend Canoe http://www.canoeatl.com/ or Bones steakhouse but locals should chip in since my Atl experience is primarily from business trips

Who needs Zagat, LOL!

I've looked through everything. Wow! I'd like to plan a special lunch or dinner for one of my friends' birthday which is the day we arrive and also for the day before we leave. I see a few that would fit the bill on both parts. They're not expensive either. The attractions are interesting too. I'll have to ask my friends what they want to see.

Thanks again I'm looking forward to my trip to Atlanta
