Alright everyone, just got some updated info on the IA Spring Meet in Atlanta, so set your calendars!!!! Please note that the venue has changed. It will not be at the GWCC parking deck. This year, it will be held at Turner Field on April 22nd. Gates open at 9 a.m. Admission is $10.00. I'll try and see if we can get some of us in early to set up and reserve spots, but don't know yet.
I will definitely need more people to help, and regardless if we can get in early or not, we can still show up early and wait in line to get in and still save spots. Last year, Tony and Darren helped me save 3 entire rows, but people still stole spots because there weren't enough of us to police our areas. Will start organizing events for the whole weekend, so keep watching for those as well. If anyone has any ideas, please PM me.

Starts at 1pm and ends around 6pm (great meet for Lexus enthusiasts, last one was spectacular!!!)

Gates open at 9am, but you need to get there before that, otherwise you will have a long wait to get in (and might still have a bit of a wait regardless, so get there early!!!)

OK guys, it looks like there's a bunch of small pre-meets to roll in to IA on Sunday. My primary concern and focus is to get there early with some peeps to help save spots for everyone else, so I have left the pre-meets up to you guys, but I have 2 suggestions:

You can meet at 2 central locations, since everyone is so spread out:

Meet at the Varsity off North Avenue on I-85 in downtown Atlanta at 7am, which is the most central location.
The problem is, a lot of other groups will probably have the same idea.

Meet at the Brandsmart off Peachtree Industrial on I-285. This would be the next closest central location, but a bit farther north, but I don't think a lot of other groups are meeting there besides the Nissan/Infinity guys, but that would be cool since I think we will be getting together a lot more this summer with the Luxury car meets and such.

I don't know what time they are meeting, but probably will be meeting there early, so you should do the same, like 7am as well and roll out soon after, cuz it's going to be crazy to get in and trust me, you don't want to be in that line and be inhaling exhaust fumes for hours to get into the venue.

+1 - Though there is a moderate chance I'll have to be out of town on business that weekend. I won't know for sure until sometime in March or early April probably.

Yeah, this is my weekend to work so I'm definitely gonna try and find someone to switch or work for me. This will be 2 months in a row that big events are happening on my weekends to work, doh!!!

i was there last year and was turned away from parking in the "CL" section.

So I don't understand why anyone would be disappointed in the turnout. I tried to hang with the " CL" ers.

I don't think they would turn anyone down man. If anything, there was probably no more available parking spaces where we were at. As a member of Club Lexus and resident of Atlanta, I apologize for the miscommunication the last time you were at IA. Hope you will join us this time!!

There was a lot going on with people cutting into our reserved parking and I think this was a misunderstanding. I do remember a 2IS owner, could have been you, asking about parking in the CL area with his whole crew from NC (non Lexus owners), and at the time we couldn't accomodate that since a lot of other CL members hadn't shown up yet, but wasn't meant to turn you in particular, away. I think the owner preferred to park with his crew and chose not to park in CL area. Again, if this was you, sorry for the misunderstanding.

If you're taking 75 south there are these that are in nice areas:

1) Embassy Suites, Kennesaw, GA (30-ish minutes north of downtown Atlanta)
2) Sheraton Suites Galleria - Atlanta, GA (15-ish minutes north of downtown)
3) I'm not vouching for this one but it is literally right next to Turner Field. If you're looking for the closest hotel this is it. Holiday Inn Atlanta.
