Looking for Lexus shop in Northern Virginia
I just recently purchased a 98 Ls400 with 155k miles. Timing belt and wp were changed at 115k in 2005. Is it time to have the timing belt changed again? If so i am looking for a repair shop in Northern virginia who can handle the maintenace on the lexus. If you can reccomened someone iit would be greatly appreciated.
Also if someone has had this service done in the northern virginia area, how much did you pay for the service??
Thanks

My concern is that the current belt has been on the car for 10 years now. Even though it only has 40k miles on it. And yes the wp and pulleys were replaced at 115k.

though time does also contribute to wear, the belt should not prematurely fail before the 90k mark as it's internal and not exposed to the elements like the serpentine belt is. if the serp belt is cracking, then the timing belt will be cracking soon as well. it's a good indicator, but i suspect your timing belt to be ok.

Its an hour drive for me going to Rockville, MD, but i can def vouch for the guys at NXT Auto. Nelso and is crew are great! Not much of talkers but great friendly people overall. Good prices for service and maintenance, etc. They even provide shuttle service to Harris Teeter so you can chill, study, have lunch, whatever. Give them a ring and tell them Savy with the white 3IS recommended you. Hopefully i'll get some perks lol!
