Red face There are a bunch

I know of at least 15-20 that I've met at meets. Most of those were from Dallas and several from Austin who made the drive for meets. Any particular reason for the question?

I'm in Houston, but drive an LS400... wanna race?

We should do a meet at HRP. Looking at cars is fine and all but racing them is much more fun!

I live in Sugarland. No, I seldom race with my LS400. I did one time race with the guy's IS300 in the medical center but I still won

Am starting to modify my GS400 for a little bit of fun. I might race once in a while though. I think I might not go serious modifying like turbo, etc. A 300 hp GS4 is just fine for me. Just need dropping the car, nicer wheels, coil over and body kits, I guess.

What / where is HRP? Just let me know when is the next meet. Been a Lexus owner for decade but I havent' join any club like this. The modify addicts...LOL..

KevinLe,

Nice wheels man. How did the 18 inch affect the ride? My car wears 17" 5 spoke factory and Dunlop SP9000. Am planning to upgrade to 18 or 19 but am not sure which one is the best. I know the larger the rims , the looks become better but I might not trade with the ride quality. Just thinking of dropping, and go 18 other wise, the most I can go might be 19. I want to see your car in peron though, when weve got the chance to meet up.

Default KEVINLE

Hi
19" or 20" wheel look just PERFECT in my car ( i already put it in) but if i just go for look, 18" is good for racing and look not bad either,my wheels are 18x9 all around and my tires are 245-40-18(front) and 275-35-18(back) this is VERY popular side, same with m5 and some AMG MBZ ,... i designed to put 18" in my car cus i still luv speeding around with my white beast =O)
anyway if u already have a 17" stock in ur car i dont think u gonna be dissapointed when u change to 18" cus u have both ride quality and look, but just think twice b4 u put a 19" or 20" cus only u can get is LOOK
What part of Houston u living? im in SW of couse we can meet somewhere in Westheimer or somewhere else =), tell me more bout ur ride ok

Fil, did you check the link I provided on HRP? HRP is Houston Raceway Park in Baytown. Worlds FASTEST 1/4 mile track. Most of the year they have street racing on Wednesday, Friday and Sundays and you can drive ANYTHING you want for only $15 or you can watch for $8. I have seen everything and anything run including various trucks and bone stock econoboxes.

BTW, you have a very interesting mix including the 98 LS400 and the LS430. I have beaten a number of GS400s so do not downplay your LS400. I would like to see how the LS430 runs. Maybe you can have a friend drive the LS430 to the track and you can bring your GS400. I am telling you it is a lot of SAFE fun.

BTW, I am also in Sugar Land and have a GTech Pro Competition performance computer that will measure your cars performance. Let me know if you wish to meet up and baseline your cars.

Default Baytown Racetrack

John,

Just got back from South Texas. I've heard about that racetrack down Baytown from group of Honda guys in school. One day I would love to see what have you done with your LS4. I am inclined to mod the GS4 though and am making it sure that I'm on the right track. Had ordered some sways and been shopping for coil overs. I hope I can deliver my orders somewhere else so that my partner won't see it....

I'm in Austin. There are at least a few GS owners here, several with modded cars. I wander over into Houston from time to time as well.
