Man, are you kidding? How in the heck did they get it off? I know it would be a bunch of work for someone to take mine off. It is glued on there good. Sorry to hear about that. I will keep an eye out. You might want to give Darell over a Sewell a call. I believe he has a GB on the TTE front lip.

mine had the regular double side tape and screws
i saw they have a cl thing going on - $248 for the lip.

i'm screwing, bolting, glueing, and molding it in the front bumper this time.
already setting up something with a shop i go to.

now that i had the lip - car looks so ugly without it

Let me know what shop you are using to mold the lip, I may be interested in having that done to mine. Also, if you just plan on installing your new one let me know, I can help you do it. I installed mine by myself and it wasn't a big deal.

it's a friends shop in arlington. complete auto body?
the one i had - the fitment wasn't great. i just used 3m double side tape.. but, there were gaps in it.

would be nice to have one that fits perfectly (after getting it molded in)

i want it installed permantly now. i usually park my car in the garage - but sometimes, i leave it out in the front street. either way, i dont want to risk it being stolen again.

Default Adhesive

What type of adhesive to you guys recommend for installing the front lip so that it stays? What type does Darrell offer with the TTE?

The TTE lip comes with a black adhesive. It holds great but if your car is anything other than black it will be hard to avoid seeing the black adhesive. If you have anything other than black, I would recommend going with another type of adhesive. Do a search on TTE lip and you will get many recommendations. I believe some people just go to home depot and buy silicon adhesive.
