Default Next DFW Meet?

I think we had a pretty successful meet a few weeks ago. We need to keep the momentum going and schedule the next meet. I think we should do a picnic somewhere so that we can all spend more time talking and hanging out. It will also give everyone an opportunity to bring their spouses, kids, significant others, etc. since that is sometimes a reason people can't make the meets. I am open for all location, date, day and time suggestions. Lets use this post as a suggestion box. I will provide the hamburgers and hotdogs for the picnic.

Just a suggestion on the location...I would suggest a city park. I'm sure all the cities have a gazebo or something they rent out. Last year, we had a church picnic at Cimarron park in Valley Ranch and rented out one of their gazebos.

Have four good tires and can roll. Hopefully will have the new suspension for the meet, but I'm not holding my breath.

Let's do it!

That is what I am thinking. I live in Plano and I know of a great place to hold it but I don't want to bias the location since I live there. I would like to try holding it somewhere centrally located where everyone can attend. If Plano works for everyone than I know the park to hold it at.

I don't think I met anybody from Ft. Worth at the meet last time...I'm prob wrong though. I'm sure most of us live close enough to the tollway or central distress-way to get up to Plano.

I was hoping that Austin BBQ would go down in the meantime, but it looks like there hasn't been any update on that in a while...

Here is a link to the place I was thinking about.

http://www.plano.gov/Departments/par...rbor_hills.htm

Some reviews

http://travel.yahoo.com/p-reviews-27..._and_reviews-i

And a map

http://www.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=a...i=lmd&z=14&t=m

This is just a suggestion. It is a great park that I mountain bike at several times a week. There is usually plenty of parking. There are a couple of really nice shelters and grills to use. If anyone want to bring their kids, the park there is great and there a lot of trails to go out and explore. If we decide this is the place I will need to reserve one of the shelters. Let me know what you all think.

That Arbor Hills place looks nice. It's close enough to the tollway that getting there shouldn't be a problem. There is no off-road vehicle course though(this is a car meet)...just kidding.

If we do this, I would suggest we do it in May or maybe early June, before it gets hotter than the surface of the sun.

There is a nice park behind the *******. I believe they have paint ball fields on one side and huge park on the other. Just throwing out ideas and im looking forward to coming to a meet.
