Just some guy I found on Craig's List, telling me 20% would be too dark. I should of just walked away right then but I needed him to take off the nasty tint that was already on there. The stuff he put on isn't dark and it has bubbles all over but at least it's not purple anymore.

Mothers said they'd only do 5% on my Back and rear Sides, but we'll see when I go Saturday what they'll do.

If I tell them I don't want a warranty will they do whatever I want??

 

i had originally schedule my appointment at Mobile Tint. but they wanted more time. but they still took my 330 appointment. i didn't want to rush them so i took it to custom sounds. but the tint is starting to look better. it had a few bubbles that are starting to disappear. the only problem i have with them is that they melted my b-pillars.

 

Mothers said they'd do 5% on rear sides and back hu? Tight, was this over the phone or did you go in? I'd settle for that and the 20% front. That's still legal

 

It was over the phone. I'm planning on going their Saturday if I have time. The actually legal limit in Texas is 25% on the Front Sides, but no one could tell the difference between 20% and 25%. I'll update when I go.

 

IMO Mother's is just an ok tint shop..lots of variety of tint but definitely on the pricey side..I recommend this place on babcock in medical center called auto tint and alarm..ask for Ernest.. does 20% or 5% all around if ud like for around $120. does good work..also a place on culebra n 1604 area..got a car done there , really good work and cheap also. both can do whatever tint you'd like. pm me for more info if ud like. I would of done 20% all around but got tint for free from Lexus(30%).

Custom sounds melted your pillars? Will they pay for new ones?

 

haven't checked this thread in while sorry its soooo late. It took them a while to admit they melted my pillars, but i wasn't going to have it. they didn't do the best job on on tint either if i had a choice i wouldn't take it to them. going back to the pillars they did pay for the repairs. i have receipt too cost them like $200 bucks which was the price of the tint in the first place.

 

I took mine over to mobile tint good group of guys and did a great job on the tint. I would recommend them. Mothers did my old EVO and they did a crappy job at best. By the way do any of the members meet up in the SA area?

 

i think i might have Mobile Tint redo my tint. I have SunTek on them and it was down by Mothers and now its starting to bubble. Good thing for warranties hopefully they'll still do it.
