... the Remote Parking at the DFW airport?

I'm flying to NYC from there on the afternoon of Sept 6th, which is a Thursday, so I don't want to ask any of my friends to take off time from work to drive me to the airport. The best option is to leave my car at one of their remote parking locations until I get back on Sunday...

Maybe I'm being completely paranoid, but I'm a little wary of doing that kinda thing. Have any of you had any bad experiences with airport parking? Do they have cameras in this parking lot? I know I probably won't be able to get a space in an isolated corner or anything, either...

The lots are safe as far as i know. I don't think there are cameras but the lots are secured, patrolled and fenced.

Lot space is tight and expect people who are driving there have big luggage bags in their cars. That means there is a chance someone will ding your doors.

If you decide to park there, at least get the covered parking, it's a few bucks more. And you don't get to choose where you park, they give you a row number at the gate. The bus will pick you up where your car is.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Isn't that lot about 2.5X as much as the remote lots, though? The only reason I'd really want covered parking is if I thought there was much of a risk of hail, heh.

I've parked in remote a couple of times but now I park at The Parking Spot. It is covered and they pick you up at your car instead of you walking to the bus. If you go to their web site, you can print a coupon for 10 or 20 percent off(20% if you are staying over a Saturday). Depending on how long you are gone, some of the other places have weekly rates that are cheaper.

btw, VR, I think you are talking about the Express parking which costs a lot more than Remote.

Is that one of the private parking lots outside the airport? How much do they charge?

EDIT: O, ok, I think I found it.

http://www.theparkingspot.com/locati...tions.cfm?ID=1

$10.50/day for covered parking, and $8.50 for open-air... I can't remember how much remote parking is at the airport.

EDIT 2: $6/day.

Yeah, it's a private lot off site, they have one off 114 and another off 183. On the left of the page, the third "Click Here" is a coupon(20% off with Saturday night stay. 10% off without Saturday night stay). I like parking there because it is covered and they pick you up at your car instead of you having to get your stuff across a parking lot.

Yeah, that's a nice service, but my concern isn't walking or carrying luggage (I'll probably just have one small suitcase). My only concern is for the safety of my car.
