Mod friendly Inspection place in Austin. . .
Anyone in Austin know of a "mod" friendly place I can go to get my inspection. The tint on my car is a couple % too dark. The tint was already on the car when i bought it, and has the "DPS Approved" seal on it, but when i took it to "Sticker Stop" they failed me for the tint. Took it to some other place in that area, and the shop wanted to charge me $100 to pass me.
For $100 I would rather redo the tint. Anyone know a place that can pass me of someone that does not use those window tint tester thingy?
Thanks. Any help is apperciated.

If no place in ATX works out, i've got a sure deal in San Antonio. Had my Cobra inspected there for 6 years straight and passed. The car had the following:
o/r H pipe
2 chamber flows
S-trim supercharger w/AFM powerpipe; pullied for 16#'s of ***-whooping
no cats
BBK Longtubes
The car wreaked of exhaust smell and the supercharger whine (oh how i loved that) was a BIG hint that something evil was lurking under the hood.

David, that place, will they hassle you about tint? Lately here they've been a pain in the *** about tint at the tint shops and even the shady inspection shops. What's the dang deal?!?!? There's a place I went to that luckly on my last car passed, a little similar to your situation but he made my take the tint off my front windows because it was 5%
