It's safe for your car, I've been there a few times in my IS 350, but the food is not that great.
It's a decent place to go if you're a college kid on budget looking for something more than fast food but less than a true restaurant dining experience. Magnolia, kerbey lane fall somewhere in the middle.
Magnolia is very inconsistent in preparing some of their dishes. Furthermore, different locations have very different quality standards (and consistency standards) on preparing the same dish.
I've ordered the same dish at Mag location #1 three times. On one occasion it was good/acceptable (still not superb or "I'm going to go back to this place asap" good), the other two times it was downright awful. It was a cream based pasta dish and the cheese was coagulated and dry whereas the first time the cheese sauce was liquid and smooth (as it should be).
The other location made the dish much, much better, good enough for me to say "Ok I may come back here sometime."
Mag location #1 is the one on south congress. Mag location #2 is on/near lake austin blvd I believe.
The only reason I ever go to Magnolia's these days is if it's 11:30 PM and I'm hungry and I don't want mcdonald's or some other fast food. Mag's is the ONLY "better than fast food" option at that time.

To all the 2GS owners in Austin, are you guys interested in getting the LED lights for your DRLs? I have them in my car and they match perfectly with the OEM HID color. The reason why I am asking is to see if anyone wants to do a group buy from the guy. Im looking into getting some clear sidemarkers and would like to install these same bulbs in the sidemarkers so that they look uniform with my headlights.
Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2pcs-...Q5fAccessories
If you have an ebay account, could you please message me? Id like to ask the guy if he is willing to do a group buy for us. If we get enough people, we could all just give that person the money and he can order for all of us.
ALSO, does anyone have clears they would be willing to sell or perhaps a set of OEM ones? I might be going back to Houston this weekend and found a guy who is willing to trade me his clears for the OEM ones.
