From: Sideways on the Yellow Brick Road! < Thats KS!
Just googled this track. I did find one forum saying it is a 1/4 mile track.
The other parts I found was more disturbing, Just a couple quotes
"YellowBelly is an old drag strip that has been there for years. There is no real safety at the track and it is pretty much a bunch of people betting on the races. Just don't bet wrong and not pay because you will end up paying for it."
"yellow belly drag strip, known as "the gut" no rules racing since 1955. Located between Dallas and Grand prairie drag racing 302 roots blower on gasoline. Get the feel of what it would be like with NO track rules. This video is just like it was then. Always leave before dark."

Not sure if we have a private meet there will be more structure or not. Also maybe the remodleing is a effort to clean this place up.
I recomend some locals go there on a saturday night and shoot som pics and videos for us. We want to make sure we are in a place that we feel good about walking away from our cars.

Again, Yellow Belly is an 1/8 mile track and the stories about that track are all true. I've raced at Kennedale alot and it's a nice track. They recently redone the track to concrete and remodeled the bathrooms. There's not much to choose from as far as the 1/4 mile goes. Ennis has the monopoly on that in this area. The other two race tracks in the area are also 1/8 mile. One is in Denton (Northstar Race Track off I-35) and the other one is Redline Race Track off I-30 East past Rockwall.

Yea Redline was the one I was looking for. but that is kinda far. I have an appt again with Texas Motorplex. Lets see if I can talk them back down on the price. This is the only track that would fit out meet.

if yall can't get decent rates up in the dfw area.. yall may want to reconsider houston's two 1/4 mi tracks. one is of course houston raceway park in baytown. the other is the brand new lonestar motorsports park which is owned by hennessey and all the supras nationwide will be there in less than 3 weeks. i believe they may have competitive rates since it's so new and not really established yet.
