If the stars align perfectly- within the millimeter, I will be there. (TT V8 6-Speed getting started..) Note: Being deployed and working on your car do not go hand in hand!!!

No, this event will not be buried, nor is it forgotten. There have been several issues to work through. Here is the deal.
We have had some major challenges getting the commitment from outside resources so that we can keep the costs down to all participants. We are still working on this.
Several of the major V8 players, including myself, ran into major challenges completing our cars in time. This includes the following in no particular order- SC400TT, ScottURnot, Lextreme. Since we are the ones setting this up, and this is a V8 attraction, although others are invited, we could not set the date.
The summer is too hot for the event, and fall is practically upon us. Inclement weather will start to be a problem for those that will travel across the country.
Based upon these and other issues, we have decided to move this event to 2009, in the Spring. This gives all of us planty of time to complete our projects, and the weather should be excellent for travel and strong runs.
We have been thinking that March is a good month. Please respond with your thoughts and opinions. I apologize that we have had to push this event, but to do it half-assed would just not be right.

HA HA HA! Mean this in a good way....you guys will NEVER be done with your cars!
I know it won't happen but I suggest you move the event to Charlotte, NC.
Reasons....
1. I work at a Toyota dealership and they would likely be happy to host the event, although I'm not sure there would be enough room for everyone.
2. The best 1/4 track you'd ever hope to run on is being built 1 minute away from the dealership.
