Default Arizona Enthusiasts.

Well, this thread is about just that: Arizona Enthusiasts. I was wondering who all from the AZ community is around the Phoenix/Flagstaff area, and who might know of some performance shops in those respective areas. I've done some research, and stumbled upon Intense Power. (www.intensepower.com) They are located in the 480 Area code, so they are a measly 2 hours from my location. When I get out of Iraq in late 2008, I wanted to get some tuning done and was wondering if anyone has dealt with this company. If you have, please speak up; or contribute with a company I am unaware of within Arizona. Thanks a lot in advance.

Unfortunately LEXAZ.com forum is still down but from what I've heard, wide open throttle motorsports and ums tuning have the a good reputation with the supra guys. You might also want to check out az dyno chip, pm Kaiser (Chris). What are you going to run for engine management?

Come back safe bro.

If you're going to be in Flagstaff, I envy you. They don't have any emissions testing up there!!

Vivid Racing is in Chandler and is another shop for local tuning.

For Toyota based tuning though, Intense is probably the most knowledgable.

Hurry up and get yo *** back!

SRD USED to be a great place but from what I have heard around, it's no longer the same great shop.

I haven't had Intense tune my car but I have ordered parts through them and they are really good to work with. Very helpful and good customer service. From what i've experienced I would just assume that they do some pretty good work.

Intense did my IS300 a few years back and were great BUT they told me they sell parts online and storefront but only work on "Project Cars" now and they sent me elsewhere. The place they sent me sucked so I won't name them. I have been talking with Vivid and their new facility is sweet. The owner actually came out himself and introduced himself and was very cool. They are doing a lot of WRX's and Porsche's. I just took my IS350 out to Firebird and ran the Quarter a few times. Vivid had several cars out there kicking butt. They had a Skyline, right hand driven, doing sub 12's! Anyway, come back SAFE and thank you for your service.

Ok nevermind no Intense . Thanks for the heads up. Was the shop they sent you to TSP? I've got to reconsider my choices again.

Thanks a lot for the advice and support guys. I have some nice goodies I can't wait to install and dyno. Here is a brief list, if anyone wants some hands on time you can take a trip to Yuma and do some grease monkey work. Lunch and beer would be on me, of course

MVP Header
Full Exhaust, header back with Magna flow mufflers
Timing Belt, Serpentine Belt, Boost Logic Timing Belt Tensioner, Titan Crank Pulley, Unorthodox Cam Gears, Unorthodox Water Pump, Alternator, and Power Steering pulleys. RPS Clutch/Unorthodox flywheel, Supra Springs/Shocks. So yea, I got alot of goodies to play with when I get out Plan on installing it all and refreshing the motor at the same time.

That would be my aftermarket list, doesn't include the refresh of stuff I'll be doing. That list, in plugs, wires, cap, rotor, Battery, fluids and stuff like that.
