I'm trying to figure out what the speed limit is going to be. It says a pace car will determine speed. And while it's for a good cause, I dont want to drive an hour to get there only to go 30 MPH around a race track!

well you can always periodically drop back and then race back to the pack again, right?

Either way, this sounds like fun... but will the fact that I have no performance driving background be a problem?

70-85 MPH depending on how well people are keeping up with the pace car. 14-16 cars on the track at a time

yep pace car sets the speed.. weaksauce

nice find though at keeping us posted of stuff going on around here. You do have a couple of legal options here.

TWS - 200.00 typical track day. Not only do you get to almost top out yoru car on the oval section of the track (i hit 130) but you also get to race the rest of the 2.1mi inside on a road course.

Also you can always go do the texas mile (google it) you can really hit your 142mph limiter.

btw tws and cresson both have some slots open for fall (nice cool weather) events.

I dont know if anyone else ended up going to this event, but it was a blast. It was quite the honor to share the track with a 911, Viper, Original Shelby Cobra, and several Vettes all at the same time. We hit 100 several times on the back straight away. I'll post a few pics shortly.

Thanks. The truck is actually one of the pace cars.

There were some interesting cars out there. Someone drove their Pinto around the track, saw a 70s Ford or Chevy pickup taking laps, the Red Bull Kia/Suzuki took some laps too ha.
