Interesting to see so many CL members from Austin. I'm a fairly new owner of a SC400. Can someone please recommend a sound mechanic as an alternate to Lexus of Austin?? Many thanks.

Ya, Jeff did used to work at the Lexus dealership. He is a good guy...I would highly recommend him to anyone who is out of warranty or doesn't want to pay the dealships high prices on service.

Is this meet in Dallas on the 17th just for GS models or all Lexus'? I moved from Austin to Dallas with my Supra and Camry. I now own an SC300 and an LS400. Guess which one belongs to my wife.

im from austin....just got my GS300 a few days ago..i keep hearing of some really nice GS's crusing around here but have yet to see em...would be cool to meet up with you guys sometime

Best Place in Austin for service of our Lexus
I'm also in Austin. Can someone tell me best place in Austin, beside dealership, to take Lexus for maintenance and work done on the car? Also, best a/c shop in Austin and/or surrounding areas. Thanks.

Even though I just moved from Austin earlier this year, let me add my strong recommendation for Bearden Auto. Jeff is very knowledgeable and thorough on his work. He did work on my GS300 at much less than what the dealer quoted and I certainly didn't see any differences. Jeff did both LOF services and major service too. I know a number of other Austinites who swear by his service too, plus there is a referral discount if you recommend someone else to him, you get a nice discount on your next service. I sure do miss Austin from up here in IL, even us ole Ag's enjoy the city. Although I will say dealer in the Quad Cities is doing a nice job on some minor service I needed recently.
