Oh no!! What happened?!? Looks like that TL almost went into oncoming traffic, yikes.
Hope everyone was alright. Is it repairable?

Damn! Say it isn't so John. I hope everyone is ok. Are you planning on repairing the IS if it's fixable? It would be sad to see your IS end like this.

When did this happen? Thats at Stapley & the 60 right?

Yeah, it was at stapley and the 60 just after 5pm Wednesday evening.

I was home asleep, my girl was driving. She said she tried to avoid the Acura but couldn't. They hit about 75ft or so from the intersection, and she was cited for unsafe lane change.

I'm hoping that they don't total it since the airbags didn't deploy. It's going to be a ***** trying to get compensated for the $20k+ that's in it.

Oh well though, I'd burn that ****ing car to the ground if it meant that my girl would be okay. She has a couple little cuts on her eyelid and another on her cheek just below her eye.

Glad to hear that she is ok! It looks like it could have been a lot worse but thankfully it wasn't. I'm assuming the Acura driver was ok too?

That area and rush hour = worst drivers ever. We are constantly in that area, mostly at the Petsmart, and its dumbass drivers everywhere I look.

Unhappy

That's right up the road from me, too. I hate the way people drive, but that doesn't matter right now. What matters is that she and the other driver are okay. Sucks to start the holiday that way, but be glad you can spend it together and deal with the rest later.

So what are the plans with the car? I've seen worse come back to life.

Well, if it's fixable then I'll just keep doing what I was, slowly upgrading it.

If they total it, I'm going to buy it back and swap everything I can into my conquest and pick up an 05-06 LS430 for the daily.

After daily driving boosted cars for 12yrs, I'm wanting something that I won't mod. Well, won't mod engine wise anyway. Rims, suspension, and sometimes audio is pretty much a given with me.

Are you saying a 2JZ in a Conquest?

An LS430 is not a bad replacement at all .

Yep, 2jz conquest/starion. There's about 6 or 7 that have been done so far.

If I do it though, I'm not just swapping the engine and trans, I'll retrofit most of the is300 wiring harness to retain the paddle shifters, A/C and such. Maybe most of the dash and center console and some of the suspension if I can manage it. Definitely want to swap the is300 rack and pinion setup with steering column.
