Mechanic shop in PHX East Valley?
I have a 95 SC400. A recent inspect by a Ford guy tracked down my alignment issues down to worn out bushings. Basically, all the rubber bushings and mounts are worn out.
I attempted discuss it with that mechanic but he didn't seem very interested in taking on the work at his shop. While trying to talk about the sleeves for bushings and stuff he didn't seem to understand what was required for the suspension on the Lexus.
So anyway, from what I've found I'm pretty much stuck with using polyurethane bushings. The OEM rubber style ones seem to cost at least double, while the poly kits come with additional bushings at half the cost. These poly kits seem to require reusing shells and sleeves by burning out the old rubber, then pressing the new poly in with the old shells/sleeves.
At this point it seems like I'll be best going to an import and/or Toyo/Lexus specialist shop. I'd like a place that is capable if determining which bushings must be replaced to perform a solid alignment, and of course I'd like to have it done at a reasonable price? Can anyone suggestion a shop in the East Valley that can help me?
