Whenever I do a search on ebay, I turn up ALOT of Lexus cars in Texas, this is even true of the SC. Why are there so many out that way. Also, has anyone purchased a car from that highline dealer that advertises alot on ebay?

I don't know why, but there seem to be a lot in the area, especially on ebay and auto trader. As for the dealer you listed, I've never heard of them, but they seem like they got a sizable operation. I bought my SC on ebay a few years ago from this place: www.txcars.com They are mostly a clearing house for off-lease vehicles. When I got my SC, they were willing to offer it up with no reserve.

 

it is kinda ironic but the junkyard that I go to sometimes for stuff is named "toyota/lexus heaven" and they have about 4-5 sc's which is a pretty good amount.

 

Where is this place? I think I'd like to visit it!

I've been to Silverstar when I wanted to buy my 7 series. They seemed to have quite a few cars... including a Gallardo, 550 Maranello, couple 911 Turbos, 360 Modena, various AMGs, M5's, etc... In one word it was HEAVEN. But the only thing I didnt like is that they required you to put a NON REFUNDABLE deposit JUST TO DRIVE THE CAR!!! And ok if its a Ferrari I want to drive then yes go ahead and charge. But they charge a deposit on EVERY car they have. Theres no way in hell Id put a down payment on a car that I havent driven. There can be all sorts of problems.

 

That's exactly my feeling. I had my body way back to buy AMG from them and he was not impressed with
operation.
