Hello folks just a little supplemental info if you decide to change out the PTC cartridges on your manifold.
I see there are a couple of YT videos out there on the subject. Honestly IMO they are horror shows. The cartridges are brass and I see some folks hammering the **** out of them to remove/install them. Not necessary. To remove you can just pry the out gently with a sharp screwdriver a mallet. No need to beat the **** out of them.
Not all of them will come out easy incase one breaks you can use a pic to pry it out or a screw to pull it out. Just keep in mind if you use a pic be mindful of scratching any surface where the cartridge will seat. You could cause an air leak.
When installing the carriages you should use a press first and try to get them on as straight as you can and as flush as you can. Use silicone grease as a lubricant.
only tap them in as a last resort and use a mallet with
something preferably not metal to tap them in. Brass dents and deforms very easy. Bare that in mind.
And there it is folks.
A quick DIY on that. But do it at your own risk. I did it because I didn’t want to pay someone $200 bucks just to change out 6 fittings.
