Default Sc400 ls430 diff swap

Hi I'm swapping a ls430 diff into my 94 sc400 and have it mounted up and i went to put the half shafts in and it looks like the teeth on the flange are a little wider than the ls430 diff. I was lightly tapping the flange in it went in about an inch or so then got hard like it bottomed out so i tapped it back out and the first inch of the shaft is burd on both sides of the teeth spline count is the same just wondering if anyone has had this problem or can give a solution
