Default Shock help: Tein Endurapro Plus vs KYB Gas-A-Just + F Sport Lowering Springs

I need some help from CL. I managed to secure a set of F Sport lowering springs for my 2006 IS250. It's a low mileage vehicle but figured it's time to change the shocks if I'm going to swap the springs.

I am debating two shock options and can't seem to decide: do I go with the TEIN Endurapro Plus (with adjustable dampening) or KYB shocks? The price for parts is about the same, the TEINs are about $30 more.

Any thoughts on what might be the best option? I am hoping to maintain a somewhat close to OEM feel with a little stiffer set up but not crazy.

I'm not interested in coilovers. I want a fixed ride height (1" drop) and don't want to worry about coilover parts seizing up. I also don't have time to bother with lowering varying heights. I guess I'm old now

Thanks for your help.

Hi, I have the same question? So which shocks do you decide to buy? And how the ride feels?

I couldn't make a decision. I'm probably getting the KYBs as the are the closest to an OEM feel and the f sport springs are designed to work with the OEM suspension. I still have not pulled the trigger on it.

I put long time ago the KYB on the rear. It works good. Plus they come with lifetime warranty. I bought them in the autoparts closed by so I do not have to pay for shipping if I have to return them. For the front I just put the Teins enduropro plus. I set it at 12 (Softer) max soft is 16. It is a driver preference: if the set is too soft the car will be balancing or if set it too tight, the car respond faster but too bumpy.

I'm in the same boat.
I want long term comfort and reliability over coilovers as this is my daily. I picked out these parts currently off rockauto + Megan lowering springs
I have previously replaced the front control arm bushings and all wheel hubs

Haven't pulled the trigger completely yet while still exploring to see if there's any other viable options.
