Default E brake, VSC on/off, and ABS indicators ON!!!!! Help

I cruised today thru I-405 here in Seattle/Renton, when all of the sudden the ABS, VSC, VSC off, and Emergency brake light ALL turn on, along with an unbearble high pitched tone. I stopped my GS and turned off the engine and started her back up, and the same.
anybody know what I may possibly check myself, prior to spendin $100 at the dealer just for a diagnostic?
Also besides the ear-piercing tone, is it even safe to drive?

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I got the same situation about 6 months ago. Lexus had to replace the brake master cylinder. That's a $2000 job, luckly, it's covered under warranty.

There are several CL members here had the same experience.

This happened to me also about a year ago and it ended up with the master cylinder/ABS control unit being replaced with the speed sensor. It should be covered under warranty.

thanks for the replies. regarding the mastercylinder replacement, what is the cause? or is it a wear and tear thing? what was your mileage, when this occurred?

I was curious however what are the warranty limitations for this issue, if any?
My beloved GS400 has 75K.

It's not the wear and tear thing. I believe there's some defects in the GS master designs. Lexus replaced mine at 36k miles. Talk to your dealer to see if this is covered under power/tran warranty.

I am going to take it to the dealer. Powertrain warranties with the GS are 72/72,000, whichever comes first. BUT I am ahead in miles w/ 76K, Hopefully this is not too serious. I read other posts with the same probs, but none mentioned any high-pitched warning tone. But my GS drives normally, and I hear nothing unusual like grinding. Also, I do know that my rear brakes were at 10% left about 2 months ago. So hopefully that is all.

I have the same problem and when I called the dealer they said that its not covered under
power train warrenty, tried calling another dealer and they told me the same story.

In my case the pump makes the weired noise and in a few minutes the lights come on
and a high pitch sound comes on. In a few minutes it goes away and the same thing
might happen again in a few days.

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

I can tell you, from experience not more than 1 week ago, with the sequence of lights and that high pitched sound, that most probably your master brake cylinder is out. Did you have an 'odd' pressurizing sound coming from the steering wheel area as well? In any case my dealership covered it under either the powertrain warranty or the certified pre-owned warranty. Good thing too, since the bill was over $1,500

Although, I do have a feeling that my CPO warranty was used. The master cylinder has to do with the brakes which I don't believe is part of the powertrain (tranny, engine)
