I have a 92 sc300 and hear a clanking noise from the suspension both front and rear when going over bumps...ie: speed bumps... its annoying ...!!! is it my control arm bushings??? both upper and lower??
how pricey is this to repair??

blown shocks? try pushing down on the corner of the car and listen for the sound

Thanks guys. I need to have my suspension checked out and yes I do hear some squeaking type sound when pushing up and down on the rear end of the car. It also seems to ride extremely rough and firm which is great on smooth roads but not good on rougher roads.
Questions on my 92 sc300
Do i have struts all the way around??
Any recommended aftermarket brand replacements for a smooth ride??

I wish shocks didn't go bad; but I think he meant springs; and they too, go bad.

That clanking noise is the bushings...i got mine replaced and they make absolutely no noise at all...

CEO... what did that cost you if you don't mind me asking??

i replaced my sways and my bushings (lower control arm)..sways were 29.95 and bushings were 99.95..i picked them up from TM Engineering.

i meant to say springs dont go bad, shocks do...but that doesnt really have to do with anything

i have heard almost no complains about springs..even the lexus mechanics say the springs dont go out its mostly that the shocks start to leak...
