THUD noise after installing HKS LS+ coilovers
I hope you guys can help me out.
My friends and I just installed the HKS LS+ coilovers yesterday and when I was driving to go home I was hearing a thud noise from the right front of the car. The noise sounds like metal hitting metal or something was loose. The thud noise is heard when I turn the steering wheel to the right just a little bit. I can't figure out where that sound is coming from. Did we not install something correctly or is something hitting something. The sound only happens in the right front. Is it safe to drive with this noise? I need help.
Peace

Its kinda hard to say. I would recommend you tighten everything up before you take it for alignment.
Maybe the rightside swaybar endlink is hitting the coilovers....just a guess.
Good luck.

Did you also hear it when you go over speedbumps and potholes? If so it might be that you bottomed out.
Could it also be that you wind the coilovers too low? If you check the floorpan of your car, you would realize that the right side is actually slightly lower than the left side, probably from the design.
I always get thud, scrape, you-name-it from the ride side, but that's coz i am very very low.

whats going on guys. Well what it ended up being was I was missing a fastener nut. After we put one on and tightened everyting else there was no more thud.
Pete: after I aligned my car they told me that I still wouldn't pass recon because I was too low in the front and back. They told me to to raise my car a little and come back. They also told me they would have to realign and charge me a rack fee on top of that.

Recon.....screw them....LOL!! I think I gotta get that too...but I'm only about an inch or so lower than stock. Getting alignment done this Friday.
I can't wait to see your ride.
