Default Creaking from Tein CS

Just got the CS on which I love!

BUT, when I go over uneven things., like up a driveway slowly, I get pretty loud creaking sounds.

This is from both fronts and not rear.

Anyone have similar issue?

Any solution?

TIA.

No creaking at all with mine! I would take it back to the installer and have them check everything-unless of course you did them yourself? There definitely shouldn't be loud creaking noises like you describe...

definitely some problem is going on. my CS and neo's CS are super quiet, no noise at all!

the flex is definitely having noise over the CS. both neo and i can concour that. in fact after having the cs now for a while i think the noise on the flex is quite noticeable. not that it's bad but it's just the design i think

Default Tein coilovers

Hello Gents,
I have a set of Tein on my Rx7 and I`m now looking for a set for my GS4, I had a similar creeking sound only when driving up a grade or if an load was applied...I took off my sway bars and grease up the rubbers. Re-assemble and thats, thats!

May be that might help!
Sincerely
Andre

I don't think I ever got creaking. This may be some other joints that are attached to the CS.

As for noise, I did get more noise here and there. Definitely more road noise but I think that is just inherent in the construction of the Flex's 2-part shock. I remember feeling a little numb when I got in the car with my CS and not hearing more road noise. I felt more detached from the car but I've since adapted. I never rode in HAs so I can't really compare. I was told that the more driving/tracking oriented systems were made with more focus on performance. The CS, which is not a track-type performance system, is smoother and quieter. BUT you do lose some performance compared to the other more agressive Tein systems.

I am finding that noise is akin to the ride quality issue. Some people with more performance experience find the noise on the Flex acceptable and acknowledge the trade off for the extra handling. You can replace the word noise with ride quality in my previous statement and you are back to the ride vs. handling topics discussed in the past.

Could you be any less specific?

My Flex is silent, except for when I go over bumps, it's a bit noisier than the stock and L-Tuned setups were. I'm guessing but I attribute this to the pillow ball metal mounts. The CS has rubber mounts which I'm sure transmit much less noise into the cabin.

I'm thrilled with the Flex though. I would not want the ride any softer.

goin over speed bumps the rear would make a long squeaking noise as it travels down
and driver minor rough roads it would sometimes sound like something is loose or hitting on somethings

Yes. I agree that this is one of the contributers to the "noisier" Flex.

I have a creaking noise from my flex. It seems to come from the rear drivers shock. Everytime I open the rear passanger door and jump on the footwell to move the car you hear an " e e e e ". Perhaps it is a bad shock? The others seem fine though.

I wonder if there is a way to retrofit the rubber mounts from the CS to the Flex? Is that even possible?
