99 GS300 Control Arm rattle/Ball joints Question

Sorry for the delayed response. I forgot my password. No way shape or form would the ball joints have an effect on ride quality. Replacing the ball joints you have to remove the coil spring, shock absorber etc. So when they reassemble the car they may change ride quality or alignment because they have to remove the strut assembly/shock/coil spring and did not re-install it correctly. This is exactly why I say do not do it, it does not need it and they screw other stuff up by doing them. Impossible to wear out a ball joint in under 200K miles and only if you drive offroad.

Any update on this?
I just ripped my boot on the upper control arm while I was trying to install my Eibach/Bilstein combo. The rubber boot (located at the upper ball joint) has a small rip. I've been told that Lexus do not sell the rubber boot or the ball joint as a separate item. I guess my upper control arm will eventually go bad.
