Default Pretty wierd sounds coming from left back wheel (i think)

Hi, lately, my driver side rear wheel (or maybe its the driver front, I cant really tell) has been making some noises. When accelerating, up to about 15 mph, it will make a "balloon deflating sound" or something similar, then after that I will hear a quieter scraping sound.

This sound occurs whether the car is on or off, and is louder when I apply the brakes

So, could anyone tell me what this is? Im guessing it involves the brakes. Or maybe its something stuck in the spokes or brake pads or something? I hope its not something like the CV joints or wheel bearing.

Please help, thanks

i don't have a balloon sound, but i do have a quiet scraping sound like you mentioned as well. It's coming for the rear too! But this only happened after i lowered my car a bit more...

Anyone else?

Is the sound constant? When you say on or off, you went to 15mph then turned off the car?

If it's something in the spokes take a peek through it.

Try hitting the brakes in reverse.

well, going forward, up to about 15 mph all i would hear is that loud balloon sound, then the sound would subside as I continued to accelerate and turned into a quiter scraping sound which you can hear at any speed. ive already looked into the spokes and saw nothing, but this weekend im going to jack it up, remove the wheel, inspect and clean the brake pads (maybe even replace if need be) and clean all around the rotor

thanks

ok, problem solved

it was my left rear brake pads. they were actually worn down ALL THE WAY..NOTHING LEFT

Just replaced my rear with some autozone pads, and I am all good now, quiet as a mouse
