Default swaybar endlinks problem

My friend was trying to install his new set of front and rear sway bars on his is300 but he could not unscrew the end link bolt. (the nut that if you just try to unscrew it it will keep spinning and does not go anywhere. There is also a hole in that screw (allen key type of hole) but it is not in a very good condition and no allen key would fit perfectly and it was kinda rusted so the nut did not want to come off at all. After getting very upset he tried to hold it with wise grips from the other side (where the rubber boot is and eventually took one of the nuts off, but he may have damaged the rubber boot and some lubricant came out; the other side however, was much tougher and it did not want to come off. He damaged the boot a lot (hole in it and stuff) using the wisegrips and trying to hold that bolt in place but the nut didnt come off all the way. I assume it is because it is rusted and it is just stuck there. He used Prolong or something like that (WD40 type of spray on it, LOTs... and rust destroyer as well, he also used a bit of sand paper to try to clean up the rust of the bolt) but it didnt really help.

Now both of the end link bolts are not tight and both rubber boots are a bit damaged and some lubricant from them was squeezed out in the process of taking out the nuts. Because he could not take off 1 of the sides he still has the stock sway in the front and both of the end bolts are loose because he cant really tighten them well and he wanted to tighten them with the new bar in so he didnt want to struggle a lot with them.

What is he to do ?? Can he just buy a new pair of those bolts and the little boot to replace the old one or would he need to buy a whole lot of crap to replace that ?? Any part numbers or price would be great ! (Im sure he cant be the only one having problems because of rust with those bolts)

This is a fairly common problem.

My opinion is to just order new ones if your seem at all damaged.
Cause next time it's gonna be a huge pain in the *** to switch them out.

Carson Toyota has them. Just tell them you want the sway bar end links for the IS and they'll get you the part #'s a good deal. They have some insane prices. Don't go to your local dealer unless you have some sort of hookup.

I forget whether it was 36 dollars or 76 dollars or 96 dollars for them. Sorry.
