Supra TT brake question (powdercoating)

If you bought used calipers, it's usually worth it to have them rebuilt just for the peace of mind. Go ahead and strip 'em down, have them powdercoated, then rebuilt. You'll be happy with 'em in the end

Hey Autocouture,
You should consider the high quailty Caliper paint kits out there. It looks like it would be a hassle to disassemble your calipers. I've used that Folia Tec Kit on my previous mercedes and it looked pretty good. We got the red and it made the stock calipers look like the glossy Brembos
I had the car for close to a year after I painted the calipers and it looked good still. Just a thought dude....

Powder coating ovens run at around 400 degrees F; you might think twice about using a low-temp coating on something like brake parts(800-900degrees possible).
That's why the caliper paint is rated at such a high temperature.

I've had good experiences with the folia tec paint as well Two coats makes it look as smooth as powder coating but with much less hassle. And mine are still perfect after a year as well. But whatever you choose, you can't go wrong getting the calipers rebuilt
