I just bought the TOKICO HP SHOCKS & SPRINGS and gonna get them installed real soon (very excited) I was wondering how long should I wait to get the car aligned?

i aligned my car 4 days after i lowered it cause the rear started to butterfly. some people might mistake it as negative camber but the rear part of rear tires was pushing out. normally wait a week to settle before you align a car after its lowered.

well i don't have that particular spring but i have had springs in my car and i talked to two different mechanics. they both said if you drive your car normal, after a week it should be enough for the springs to settle

the shocks you have nothing to worry about, its the springs that will affect the alignment settings on the car. from my experience of lowering my 00gts and 04is, you should get an alignment after a week. i did it a little sooner cause my rear wheels were starting to butterfly.

I had the Tokico springs and Illuminas installed about 2 weeks ago and got an alignment yesterday.

I think what's more important than how long its been on the car is how many miles you've put on the car, since the IS isn't my daily driver I had about 500 miles on the new springs before I got the alignment. The springs didn't 'settle' too much with the miles I put on them, my measurements were pretty much the same as when I first had them installed.

If you wait too long before you get an alignment though, you run the risk of getting uneven wear on your tires.

well guys I had these installed for about 2weeks now and heres my situations....

Hey guys I just installed the tokico springs and shocks with a 1.25 drop all the way around.. recently after 2-300miles Ive been hearing ticking noise coming from my back rear side only when I turn the car...

I do have KDW tires and looked under but its not rubbing...

the ticking is annoying as hell, has anyone had the same problem? what should I do???

thanks!
