I don't think the brand really matters. In fact braided lines themselves only have a minor effect over stock lines under extreme braking situations. For us they are more of a dressing...

ps forgot to mention
I'm upgrading to TT front brakes
so I figures since the brake are gonna be bleed, might as well change the lines (which are really sponggy now at 64k miles)

As another part to the question, you may want to ask which brands require no modifications at the flange.

hey ken, most people here use the goodrich lines, they are the same as the trd lines except with a different name. they are also a bit cheaper. i have them on my car and the pedal feels good when braking hard.

So, do the goodrich (goodRIDGE? sp?) ss lines need any modding at the flange? Anyone? this is not a "Tim-specific" question by the way

Not sure if you mean the US TRD lines. The Japan TRD brake lines are NOT the Goodridge lines. The finishing is different.

The installation/use, however, is the same.

goodridge catalog (http://www.goodridge.net/usa/pdf/aut...top_app_us.pdf) shows kits only available for 93 and up, but not 92 - has anybody installed on a 92??

make sure whatever you get has a coating on the OUTSIDE as well to prevent dirt and debris from working it's way into the steel braid and abrading the line inside...

as has already been mentioned, in terms of performance, don't expect shorter stopping distances from any of the above - you will only get a marginally better brake feel, and even then, most of that will be attributed to the fact that the stuff is new vs. your old lines, and you have new, fresh fluid...

I got the G-Stops. I'm installing them once I get my new tires. I'll let you know how they feel.

I bought magnum brake lines off ebay, much cheaper than goodridge and others, but the exact same product. It does have an outer coating also. Brackets mounted fine!

Also... I noticed a marginal improvement in the brake pedal feel. I love them. And unlike brake pads, these should last a LOT longer.
