LS 4-piston Brake setup for my SC4
#121
i did the conversion about 10.000 miles ago. for 1.000miles the brakes werent any better than stock but then.... wow. i use 17" summer wheels and 16" winter wheels.
on the front i have brembo rotors plus mintex pads. oh, at the same time i also replaced the back rotors plus pads, both OEM lexus.
now i realized the huge front rotors are still like new and the OEM back rotors and pads are nearly gone. this tells me three possibilities: a) the OEM stuff is much smoother and wears quickly OR b) we should probably also upgrade the braking system of the back OR c) mintex pads are too hard.
any comments? correct me if i am wrong, george/germany

I finally got LS fronts
Thanks to the info in this thread I went ahead and got my LS Calipers and rotors also did SS lines. Looks and feels great. I went with a plain rotor and a last minute caliper paint job. WIll redo calipers some time soon. A few pics.

cherplex, can you go over what you did as far as the carrier was concerned? i'm not sure what i'll have to do yet, as far as that due to the bigger rotors i got, and since it looks like you picked up bigger rotors also, why not just share what you did. i'm sure others are curious also.
