I live in Palo Alto, so if any of you guys are close by, I would love to ride in your cars and compare notes.

If yer lookin for tires that don't break loose, I've found that the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S has given me awesome traction (also in wet weather), even though it would appear to be a harder compound with a long wear characteristic. Don't know how it compares to the Goodyear F1, but absolutely blows the stock Bridgestone tire into the weeds and any other Goodyear I've ever had, night and day. Flat controlled lane changes and other maneuvers that I wouldn't even think of doing on other tires. I'm still trying to get the rest of the suspension up to the level of the tires.

i have the good years f1 and man do i love them .. you cant seem to break them loose and man are they quiet , even after almost 9k miles quiet as day one but i am gunning for the new michelin pilot sport 2 (ps2) they are making the correct size for us 19inchers for the rear in 285/30/19 which the od is the same 25.8 as the fronts 245/35/19..

but i keep reading all over the net that the ps2 are slated to be the tires of this decade in terms of wet and dry perf , handling etc .. they say this tire is a race tire for the streets or track.. release is sched for next month , they are pricey though at over 1400 for the 4 but i cant wait to get my hands on them
