Default 11.5 rear wheel with stock suspension?

Can I fit an 11.5 (315 tire) rear with 100% stock suspension? I know that most aftermarket springs are a bit narrower in diameter than the stock springs, which could get in the way. I REALLY don't want to get rid of the stock suspension though (why change something I know first hand will cut 1.50 60fts).

Also, anyone running 275s up front?

Wasn't sure if this should be here or wheels section, but figured there would be more SC related knowledge here.

I know there was a post of a guy running 315s on a SC3 a while back- search 315 and you should find it. However, I do not know how wide his wheels was- 11.5 is probably getting close to the SC's max- (if it has not already surpassed it).

Im looking at my Soarer Hyper Rev right now- and the runner widebody is running a 11" wheel in the back with the widebody set up- so I would be surprised it it was to fit.

I had 255's up front with no rub at all. I have Tein CS coilovers lowered all the way, and they seemed that there could have been a little more room for tires in there. good luck with the new project, I assume that SP will be doing all the work on the new SC4? I would love to see the aftermath in person.

Ethan, PM SocalSC4. He has measured the SC and can tell you what the max sizes and offsets are.

This is good to know.....although my 245's up front seem like it would be real close to rubbing....
As for the rears, the suspension is REAL close to the 275's that I've got on 10 inch wide rims.

I had 275s on my car previously with no problems, and the rims were Supra offsets, so not quite perfect offsets for the SC.

The main problem I have with getting info is that hardly anyone wants to keep all stock suspension like I do, so most people don't know what would hit the springs and what wouldn't

Richie- I will PM him and ask him to reply to this thread so the knowledge is out here for everyone

HRE does not recommend 11.5 if that means anything to you. The max they recommend for the SC application is:

9.5 front and 11 rear.

Do you know what tire sizes and offsets they recommend?

I guess that would be like a 255 front and 295 rear maybe?

Well they wouldn't tell me offset but they did say 275 front and 295 rear.

He does come to the forums, but he is a hard at work also.
Maybe he doesn't check the SC forums anymore since he bought his GS.

Did he read your PM?

Weren't 335/17s the widest tested on the rear? Too lazy to search, but I recall a thread about it with pics
