Default Painted Calipers

So I went to the local automotive paint store and asked for 8L5 in an aerosol can. Fun fact: 8L5 is the paint code for Royal Sapphire Pearl paint.

So 50 grit, 60 grit, 120 grit and a few wire brushes later you get this.

Now if only the hardpipes.com guy would get back to me so I can put supra stickers on it I could clear it and finish it.

and

Check out the pearl action in the paint. Totally Fast and Furious, but it'll look good behind my 19's, 3 of which showed up last night. UGH!!!!!

looks nice -- didn't know you could buy actual paints in a can, good to know. The jury is still out on the RSP for calipers, but I think it's growing on me. blue in my mind is one of the big brake upgrade colors, but I guess the Supra TT brakes classify as a big brake upgrade. They did hold C&D's braking record for 12 years after all.

Looks nice -- good job.

PS: An automotive paint store... is it a chain, or just a hole in the wall shop?

The color choice was simple.
Red calipers. What else DOESN'T have red calipers?
Yellow Calipers- If they are not the Porsche PCCB then its just rice.
Gold Calipers- Not my thing
Polished- Keep polished wheels clean and polished calipers clean? You must be kidding me.
Chrome- Enough said.

So body color it was. Wheels should be all mounted up today so those will be on, and the calipers will be installed this weekend

The paint store is called D'angelos here in Vegas. They are an automotive wholesale paint store. Its where the bodyshops get their paint and supplies from. I would think that any decent sized town would have something close. I got two spray cans, and a bit of paint left over and a threepack of scotch brite bads for uinder 60 just bucks.

Good job, I just personally don't like RSP, even if it matches the body. Why not black? My car is RJP and I plan to paint my calipers a gloss black with white stickers. Just my 2 pennies...
