Default Sway bar instal...

I just recieved a set of TRD sway bars and was wondering what it has cost other people to get them installed? I live in a fairly small town, but called down to a "performance garage" in Nashville and was told that their computer claims that it takes 4.5 hours to change out the rear one only. Quick math tells me that their hourly rate...times 4.5...is a rip off. I just want to be able to say "I know someone who has had them installed for....." But I need a reply first. Thanks in advance for your responses.

they use their feet to change sway bars from you? it's very easy to change sways on the car, the rear one is next to "retarded" to do for a decently experienced mechanic. 1 hour is more than enough to change BOTH front and rear sways. that's the case for almost all shops here in cali

agreed. it shouldn't take more than 1 hour for both sway bars. 4.5 hours?? wow.

If you were to bring it here to SoCal, Luxury Motorworks will only charge you a half hour of labor to install and thats it. At the going rate of $70/hr. That's what they charged me to install my L-Tuned Sways...and I was out of there in less than 30 mins.

Thanks alot for all of your help. I went to .NET and found a great thread on TRD installation including pictures. It was idiot proof. I did it myself in about an hour...which proves it was idiot proof Thanks again...
